Did you know in New York State…
There were nearly 40,000 teen pregnancies in 2005.
1 in 4 teenage girls has a sexually transmitted infection according to the Centers for Disease Control.
More than 6 in 10 high school students will have sex before they graduate.


It is critical that young people have access to accurate information and services. Get the Facts NY is dedicated to ensuring that New York’s young people aren’t left in the dark, and to enabling young people to make responsible choices about sex.

Get the Facts NY represents a broad constituency of young people and their parents, education professionals, health care providers, religious leaders, child and health advocates, and policy organizations.
